Tea leaf scented breath
Sings floral lullabies
From across a table
I always thought
Was meant for one person
A glimpse is all it takes
You notice me withering
From the inside out.
My body here
My roots somewhere
Drinking corrupted tea
From decaying leaves
“Where’s your mind?”
In a space only you can reach.
“You are my empathy
Empathy is motion
Allow me to be the one
Who pushes you forward.”
A single phrase is all I need
But you always go beyond
“Your existence is enough
To be deserving of love.”
